Valentine’s Day is treated as on of the biggest sales day of the year.
This year February 14th is on a typically slow day, Monday. It’s not too late to begin planning ways to maximize your sales and impress your guests on this special occasion.
Some of our Customers take Valentine’s Day VERY seriously. From rearranging the entire restaurant to adding more two tops to accommodate the increased number of couples dining. Additionally, they offer a preset menu designed to allow the kitchen to easily serve the increased number of guests while maximizing the average ticket size.
Other customers have told us they plan to add special touches to the evening such as giving each lady a rose or heart shaped
balloon. Other ideas included complimentary drinks and specially designed Valentine desserts.
Preparation includes letting your guests and prospective guests know what you are doing and how they can be a part of it. If you have a customer database, consider direct marketing techniques such as direct mail, emails, and sms.
Table tents, menu inserts, and displays in the lobby are effective marketing efforts too. Also, encourage your staff to tell guests of your special Valentine’s Day plans as well.
Make the most of this opportunity to build customer loyalty, attract new guests and have a more profitable February.
