I have got an FTP service. ftp://subdomain.mydomain.biz/httpsdocs.
I am using httpsdocs folder as i don't have access to the root folder with my ftp service.
When I give this path to the location's link settings the Fr6 gives error. How to configure this?

It is advisable not to use the sub domain. Try to get hold of a domain name such as ftp://yourname.com [^] instead of ftp://yourname.someone.com [^]

The login url should not include the / sign for folder e.g. www.yourname.someone.com/httpsdocs/

It should take the folder by default (root is better)
